1. Assure your personal safety
  • Am I hurt?
  • Do I need Medical Assistance?
  • Is my location Safe?
2. Assess what has happened
  • Where is the location?
  • Who is involved?
  • Has 911/Public Safety been called?
3. Act by calling for help
  • Tell the dispatcher or operator who, what, when and where
  • If safe to do so, direct emergency vehicles to site
